Dating App Tinder: A case of fraud with a 46 year old yoga teacher has come to light through the dating app Tinder. This happened when more than Rs 3 lakh was cheated from the woman in the name of receiving a gift. When the woman came to know that she had been defrauded, she immediately called the police and informed about the matter. Based on the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the people associated with the case.
Actually, this matter came to light when the yoga teacher met the man on the dating app Tinder. Gradually the two started talking and each other’s mobile numbers were also exchanged. After this, both of them started chatting on WhatsApp and the man told the woman that I am sending a gift, please receive it. The person described himself as a doctor living in Manchester, England. More than three lakh rupees were defrauded in the name of receiving a gift from the woman.
What is the whole matter?
According to the information, the woman lives in Churchgate area of Mumbai, who downloaded Tinder on her phone and created a profile. When the woman created a profile on Tinder, a person started their conversation. The accused introduced himself to the woman as a doctor living in Manchester, England. The conversation between the two continued for a few days.
A few days after their conversation on Tinder, a woman calls the yoga teacher and says that a gift has come from Manchester. Not only this, the woman calls herself an agent of a courier company in Delhi. The woman said that you will have to complete some formalities to receive the gift and this will cost some money. After this the yoga teacher sent Rs 3 lakh 36 thousand to different accounts.
The woman lodged a complaint
The yoga teacher tried hard to talk to the man, but could not be contacted again, after which the woman got tired and knocked on the door of the police station. After contacting the Marine Drive police, the woman narrated her entire ordeal and lodged a complaint about the matter. The police have registered the case and have started investigating the matter.
